FHM with a new look

A new brand identity for FHM! We are setting a creative milestone in the company’s history. For the first time since its founding almost 25 years ago, FHM is unveiling a fresh new look. A new logo, modern typography and a vibrant colour palette lay the foundations for many more successful years to come! #beFHM

Das neue Logo der FHM (2024)

The core

Competence-based approach

The closed shape of the logo represents FHM’s three-part competence model, as well as our unity and sense of community. The curved edge, forming a symbolic arrow, lends the logo its dynamism and stands for innovative strength and the individual support we provide to our students, who can develop their personal skills and strengths here!

The look

Modern and forward-looking

The logo is now tri-coloured. The sophisticated dark blue and the understated medium blue are complemented by a vibrant purple as an accent colour. It conveys personality, innovative strength and determination. The dark blue stands for Professional.Skills, the medium blue for Management.Skills and the purple for Smart.Skills. All three areas of expertise together make up the bright minds at FHM!

The implementation

Sustainable

FHM is a sustainable university. That is why we continue to use our existing printed materials until they are used up! This is important to us for the sake of the environment. Everything produced from now on will feature the new logo and the new look. This means the transition to the new brand identity is a gradual one.

Our new look

Since our beginnings in 2000, our history has been shaped by innovation, quality, scientific rigour, knowledge transfer and a constant drive for further development. After almost 25 years of success, the time had come to reflect this ethos in a new, modern brand identity. We have grown, but we haven’t grown old!

What happens next

On 20 February 2024, we unveiled our brand-new logo simultaneously across all nine of the university’s campuses throughout Germany. The celebrations featured an inspiring video, delicious finger food (some of it shaped like the logo) and even a ‘logo wall’ in Bielefeld, where staff and lecturers could stick Post-it notes in the new corporate colours to symbolically contribute their part to the new FHM – very much in the spirit of design thinking!

But the official relaunch day was just the beginning! Our modern and dynamic design will now be used flexibly across various media. Over the coming weeks and months, all materials, signage, advertisements and much more will be gradually adapted to the new visual identity to make the changes visible across all areas of the FHM.

Our brand relaunch signals not only external changes, but also our clear commitment to continuous development and innovation, which FHM has embodied for almost 25 years. Be part of this exciting journey into the future and discover our new visual identity and website! Welcome to the innovative world of FHM.

Our website has also been given an upgrade and now has a fresh new look. In collaboration with the Bielefeld-based agency MEDIUM, we have not only revamped the site’s visual design but also improved the user experience.

With a clear page structure and innovative features, we now offer a targeted approach. The site is divided into several sections: from the corporate site and the presentation of degree programmes and continuing education opportunities for prospective students, right through to international marketing opportunities and an internal campus page with the latest news and information for students – everything is covered.

The University of Applied Sciences for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (FHM) is one of Germany’s leading private universities and has a clear focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. Since our inception in Bielefeld in 2000, our history has been shaped by innovation, quality, academic rigour, knowledge transfer and a constant drive for further development – this applies both to our teaching and learning programmes and to our applied research and development. As a non-profit university, the FHM is committed to sustainable growth.

Psychology, Education & Social Sciences, Business, Media & Communication, Technology, and Sport & Health – since our inception, we have provided holistic training for students across all degree programmes based on our well-established competency model. We develop degree programmes tailored to changing societal needs, empowering our graduates to contribute to a sustainable society.

Learning together – growing together! Here at FHM, students from Germany and all over the world come together in interactive learning groups with a shared mindset – online and on campus, in Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD or continuing education programmes. More than 15,000 students have already successfully graduated with us. From here, they embark on their future careers and professional paths with a well-rounded education.

Excellent! Certified quality at the FHM.
