Thematic focus: skills development

Institute for Continuing Education and Skills Development (IWK)

As a continuing education and transfer institution of the FHM, the Institute for Continuing Education and Competence Development (IWK) has set itself the task of making findings from science and research available for professional practice through continuing education programs. The IWK provides support through competence analyses or the implementation of holistic competence and talent management systems. The team consists of lecturers from research and teaching. They work closely with experts from the field when developing and implementing the further education courses.

The training courses are characterized by close and successful cooperation with companies, institutions, chambers, associations and other further education and transfer facilities, which enables the IWK to offer a high level of practical relevance. The changing labor market increasingly demands employees who, in addition to their professional and economic qualifications, also have impressive interdisciplinary skills. Against this background, the IWK offers future-oriented further training in growing economic sectors.
