Conveying Green VET micro-credentials into EQF with ISO17024 quality assurance model
MC Green
The MC GREEN project aims to develop and apply a globally recognized quality assurance model (ISO17024) for the awarding of micro-credentials in vocational education and training in Europe. Based on a thorough analysis of the requirements of ISO17024 on the one hand and the micro-credentials offered in vocational education and training in Europe on the other, a convergence strategy for their application is being developed and demonstrated using two innovative micro-credential offerings in the green economy.
Goals and contents
The main results of the MC GREEN project are a convergence strategy for the application of ISO17024 for quality assurance of micro-certificates in European vocational education and training, as well as two fully developed and tested
micro-certificates in the field of the green economy:
- Energy and waste management (at EQF level 2)
- Circular economy (at EQR level 5),
including a certification and examination procedure, the training of examiners, and the full application of the ISO17024 standard for personnel certification for the awarding of micro-certificates.
