Field of Research

Sustainability

Sustainability is a key driver of innovation, competitiveness and social change. The Sustainability Research Department at the FHM is dedicated to the question of how ecological, economic, and social goals can be harmonized and permanently anchored in business and education.

The focus is on designing circular business models, reducing CO₂ emissions and resource consumption and developing skills for sustainable action. Through practical research, interactive learning formats and close cooperation with companies and educational institutions, innovative approaches are emerging that make sustainable transformation measurable and implementable.

The goal is to establish sustainability as an integral part of corporate and social development – and thus to contribute to shaping the future in a responsible and resource-efficient manner.

Our research focuses are:
  • Sustainable change
  • Circular economy
  • Transformative sustainability education
  • Green Skills
  • Impact Measurement
