In 2010, Prof. Dr. Hamid Doost Mohammadian wrote about tomorrow’s crises and shock, and introduced the 5th wave/tomorrow’s age theory, in this theory we have three factors: knowledge, technology and business (KTB) and based on the 5th wave theory since 100 years ago the business and economic revolution is happened and developed but we are not prepared for tomorrow’s crises! we have to prepare ourselves to forecast, prevention and face tomorrow’s crises/shock, we are passing today and need infrastructure of edge of tomorrow.

The 5th wave/tomorrow age theory and the related models are about proceeding of future of Industry 4.0 (I5.0) as a symbol for west, & Society 5.0 (Society 6.0) as a symbol for non-west that has been invented, introduced and improved by Prof. Dr. Hamid Doost Mohammadian 2010-2017. In this theory and based on 7PS model, SMEs, have a very important vital role to reach CSR 1.0 and CSR 2.0 to improve sustainability. The 5th wave theory posits the readiness for the edge of tomorrow, for

1-) forecasting

2-) prevention and

3-) facing today’s challenges, and tomorrow’s crises

It creates SMEs in tomorrow’s societies founded on open innovation, high technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), D3 revolutions (Digitalization, Decarbonization and Decentralization), Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data techniques, and appropriate smart business strategies which can create new concept of SMEs which is capable of tackled with future concerns from a national scale up to global, facilitating the spread of different business systems entitled ''Tomorrow's SMEs/Hybrid SMEs or (SME 5.0)''. Based on the SocioEcoEnvir 3D business model, the priority in SME 5.0 is:

1) Environmental responsibility

2) Social cohesion and at the end

3) Economic efficiency

Generally, the 5th wave/tomorrow age theory is a tool to achieve one of the seven pillars, such as educational sustainability; that is a path to deal with today’s challenges and tomorrow’s crises as well as maintain the world for future. These theory can be as a readiness for sustainability with seven pillars with a focus on education and academic aspect based on being educational focus and get ready for the academic society and innovative ecosystems in the world beyond global tomorrow’s crises such as contagion of Covid19 to make the word as a better place for living. Therefore, this theory is a way to create modern business which could deal with future concerns through HR competencies, implementing, developing, and applying future of high 4.0 technologies like IoT and IoT-Education.

The concept considers the 5th wave/tomorrow age theory (by Doost Mohammadian, H.), which is about readiness to change into the new age we are just entering. Interestingly, it forecasted a crisis, and we are presently inside the COVID-19 crisis. The aim of this theory is to study “Today’s Challenges and Tomorrow’s Cities: Hybrid Views and Theories”.
The theory also aims to cover the impact of future of 4.0 technologies on tomorrow’s cities, including the large-scale deployment of IoT, the employment of big data and machine learning for tomorrow’s cities forecasting, the use of cloud platforms for the control of smart cities, and the new cyber-risks for this sector. Cities’ economies have changed from an urban economy to a data and urban economy, leading to the concept of “Tomorrow’s Cities in Society 6.0”.

The 5th wave theory concentrates on the readiness to change into the new age that we are just entering. Within this project, the applicant aims to implement readiness strategies and design a future scenario to apply these theories and evaluate the results to design empirical investigation from my theoretical approaches (cf. on 5th wave theory).
The 5th wave theory forecasted a crisis at the edge of tomorrow (period of transition (2020-2030)), which has led to the creation of communities, societies, cities, and businesses founded on high technologies, IoT, and on appropriate business strategies concerned with sustainability which can create new concepts and new businesses, societies, and cities which are capable of tackling future concerns. These are commonly known as “Tomorrow’s Society and Business” and “Super-Intelligent Society”, and they function in a super-intelligent business environment.

In this theory ‘’the world economy will be changed from a business economy to an innovative data and sustainable business economy, leading to the concept of the “Internet of Business (IoB)”.

The 5th wave/tomorrow age theory and the related models are about proceeding of future of I4.0 (I5.0) as a symbol for west, & Society 5.0 (Society 6.0) as a symbol for non-west that has been invented, introduced and improved by Prof. Dr. Hamid Doost Mohammadian 2010-2017.

According to Prof. Doost’s definition, Hybrid SMEs (SME 5.0) for Tomorrow’s Society have the following points:

  • Environmentally Responsible
  • Social Cohesion
  • Economic Efficiency
  • Digital and Smart
  • Larg SMEs (Larger SMEs (250-499 Member of Stuff)
  • Sector Cluster
  • Hand Craft
  • Industry
  • Industry-related Services
  • SME Culture
  • Sustainable
  • Blue-Green
  • Innovative
  • Future Planning
  • CSR 1.0 and CSR 2.0
  • HR Competencies and Succession Planning

at the end of the Prof. Doost’s speech, Dr. Mariya H. Nadeem of LISD & Ms. Alessia Spatafora of CRES will discuss with Prof. Doost regarding the 5th wave theory international conference in 2021.

Finally we are going to establish an International Conference ‘’THE 5th WAVE/TOMORROW AGE THEORY INTERNATONAL CONFERENCE (Doost 2010)’’ in the first half of 2021 sometimes in April.
